Bryan and I live, and the guests were staying, in downtown Toronto. The wedding venue was in Scarborough, a half-hour drive away (in light traffic). We had it all planned out: we would split up into groups of men and women on the morning of the wedding. The women would pick up the flowers and desserts and arrive early at the venue. The men would pick up their rental outfits and the alcohol and meet us an hour before the wedding. The guests would arrive half an hour early in a rented yellow school bus. We assigned drivers. Mom and I drove for the women, and Bruce Sanders and my dad drove for the men (thanks, Mom, Dad and Bruce!!)
Anyway, the women and some of the men met up for brunch at Brownstone, a cafe a block from the apartment, before launching into the day's carefully orchestrated (eh-hem) plans.
