We stayed at a small hotel called The Hotel Geoffroy Marie Opera on the same street as the Folies Bergere, the famous theater with the caberat in the 1920s, just outside the Opera district. We were on the top floor and had a private balcony. The reviews on the web had been mixed, but we were happy with it. When you pay 70 euros a night for a hotel in Paris, you have to expect something with an atmosphere closer to a 1950s roadside motel than a fancy hotel, and that's what you get. But, it was clean, comfortable, and charming.
